In addition to being ideal for outdoor activities, Sarasota is known for the arts.  You will love Sarasota’s cultural opportunities.  You can enjoy concerts and plays at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, world-class opera at the Sarasota Opera House, and a variety of performances at multiple community theatres and venues.   Art museums and galleries are also abundant in Sarasota.   Other main attractions you and your visitors will love in Sarasota are the historic Ringling Museum, Mote Marine Aquarium, and the beautiful  Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.  There are always things to do in Sarasota including a variety of community events held throughout the year.

What area of Sarasota fits your lifestyle?   Sarasota offers many types of properties and communities including country clubs, waterfront properties, condominiums, luxury properties, gated communities, and established communities near downtown.  An example of an older desirable established area of Sarasota is referred to locally as “West of  Trail”(generally considered west of US 41 between Sarasota downtown and Siesta Drive).  Another popular area is Palmer Ranch and of course there is newer Construction in East Sarasota County.  There are many great communities in Sarasota that may be good choices for you!
